HARRODS IN A PICKLE OVER ROSS’S GOURMET RANGE
Ross’s Pickles have been chosen to feature as part of the Harrods ‘Truly British’ storewide promotion, a showcase of the best of British at the world famous department store in London. The well known fourth generation Newcastle-upon-Tyne based food company are the only pickle manufacturer to be selected and will be amongst a wealth of British food companies whose products will line the shelves of the famous food halls from 5 th September to 15 th October.
Harrods has selected the finest products to represent the best from every region of the country with the food halls highlighting the diversity of products available nationwide. Ross’s Pickles will be proudly representing the North East region and visitors will be able to see first hand their passion for pickles, and to sample and buy their gourmet range. The company’s pride in the North East region is further reflected in the labels for the gourmet range, designed to reflect the company’s regional heritage with specially commissioned photographs of local icons from the Angel of the North, Durham Cathedral to Lindisfarne Castle through to the Tyne Bridge adorning the jars.

Visitors to the ‘Truly British’ event can choose from a range of nine mouth watering luxury pickled products from Silverskins in Raspberry Red Wine Vinegar, Onions in Dark Balsamic Vinegar, Onions in Malt Vinegar with Fresh Chillies, Black Peppercorns and Mustard Seeds to Shallots in Smokey Malt Vinegar, Silverskins in White Balsamic with Black Peppercorns and Mustard Seeds, Gherkins in Sweet Vinegar with Mustard Seeds and Baby Beetroot in Raspberry Red Wine Vinegar to Curry Piccalilli with Sultanas and Red Cabbage in Red Wine Vinegar with Spices and Sultanas. Harrods customers, fine food fanatics and pickle fans alike will be also be able to see from Ross’s the versatility of pickles and discover news ways to enjoy them - with drinks as an aperitif, as an ideal alternative to crisps or olives, as a canapé option for your pre dinner party nibbles, or as a cooking ingredient, a relish for cold meats and fish, with a BBQ or even as a healthy snack.
