THE PRODUCT

We grow and supply 20 varieties gourmet Heritage Potatoes, which offer
unique cooking qualities, special flavours, interesting colours, and shapes,
and gives the consumer a taste of history.

ABOUT US

The Carroll family have farmed at Tiptoe since the 1930’s, and we have lived, and worked at Tiptoe since 1986. We farm with care for the environment using Integrated Farm Management, which is part of the LEAF Marque Accreditation that we have been awarded.

Carroll's Heritage Potatoes began before the start of the Millennium in our small kitchen garden! We enjoyed growing, cooking, and eating these unusual varieties, so in 2002 we decided to grow 6 varieties on a small 5 acre plot, and share our enthusiasm and passion with the public , and sell them at our local Farmer's market in Berwick -upon-Tweed.

The busines has grown, and now in 2006 we are growing 20 different
varieties on approximately 50 acres of land.

ABOUT THE FARM

Tiptoe Farm has been awarded the LEAF MARQUE accreditation , and this is the back bone to all our farm practices. We have an annual inspecton to ensure that we are farming in an environmentally way. Some examples of this are the 6 meter grass strips in the fields, with herbs and flower mixtures to encourage bees and birds. (Look at our www for more details)
