At Northumbrian Quality Meats our objective is to provide you the customer with the very best organic beef and lamb that is available, at an affordable price and to do this with the highest standards of animal welfare and environmental responsibility that we possibly can.

The cattle used by Northumbrian Quality Meats in the production of their Organic Hill Bred Beef are of breeds whose ancestors may well have grazed these high Northumbrian Hills generations ago. Our beef is processed the old fashioned way, by maturing for a full 21 days before jointing to enhance flavour and tenderness, bringing back beef to the way it used to be - natural, healthy and delicious.

Our Organic Blackface Lamb is reared in the clean, natural environments of the Northumbrian heather-clad hills by farmers with years of experience and tradition in animal husbandry. It is this tradition, together with today's improved production methods which gives the lamb its unmatched tenderness and sweet flavour. “The lamb from Northumbrian Quality Meats is used in some of the north east’s leading restaurants including Café 21 and the Copthorne Hotel on the Quayside and has been highlighted by Rick Stein in his “Food Heroes” book and in Terry Laybourne’s forthcoming publication “Northumbrian Quest for Taste”.

Northumbrian Quality Meats Limited was established in 1998 to promote and retail high quality organic meat from Northumberland. By producing high quality traditional meats with full traceability to soil association organic standards we hope to address all consumer concerns.
